can anyone help me with this question? the function d(s)=0.0056s^2 +14s models the stopping distance of a car, d(s), in metres, and the speed, s, in kilometres per hour. What is the speed when the stopping distance is 7m? Use a graph to solve.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Graph the equation and find where y=7.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The x-value at that point would be the speed, since the stopping distance is the y-value.

thanks, do i need to factor first? cause i cant figure out what to factor out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait, the equation is 0.0056 and 0.014 not 14
