cosxsin^2x+cos^3x
simplify?
cosx((sinx)^2+(cosx)^2)=cosx
cos(x)(sin^2 + cos^2) cos(x)(1) = cos(x)
no mistakes for the win!
lost. im so going to fail this quiz on tuesday.
:)
I got a trig test on....either mon or wed..cant recall
this class is being taught counterintuitive to the way I learn
start over from the beginning please.
Trig is ALOT of memorizing; and after you learn it, it is useless cause they got calculators to tell you what the values are. All trig class does it lets you know HOW these things were creatd and maybe some useful tidbits with identities for later in calculus...
well i keep failing my tests and quizzes no matter how hard I try and its pissing me off.
OK factor out a cosx so you have cosx(sin^2x + cos^2x) The most important trig identity is sin^2x + cos^2x = 1 so you substitue 1 for sin^2 + cos^2x and you get cos x(1) = cosx
wish I could help there; but its like learning your times tables, practice, practice, practice....and then you still mess up sometimes :)
time tables are fun!
lol .... my daughter doesnt think so :)
but trig is funner than time tables
I like going in circles
....and surfing on waves :)
and angles are cool too!
I programmed me a Spirograph maker in Javascript; my kids think its "cool".
i wish I thought it was fun. I want to understand this so bad and its frusterating to fail....repeatedly
Trig identities use alot of algebraic techniques to find solutions. And if you are weak in algebra.... then it will be tough. sorry....
