how do you fund the area of somthing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by using integral... first u should draw it in cartesian coordinat then u should determine the limit...then use integral method to find the solution

OpenStudy (amistre64):

depends on the shape; but yeah, calculus lets us take and slice up an object into thin little piece, calculate the area for each little piece, and then add them all up again to find the total area for any given shape.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

depends on what that something is ^_^

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the area of a cone, errr...the volume of a cone has been worked out to: (1/3)(height)(area of base); the area of a circle is pi(r^2); the area of a square is the product of the length of 2 of its adjoining legs..... etc, etc, etc...
