MID SEGMENT & GEOMETRIC PROPORTIONS: This shape is a triangle. It is given that ED/BA = EC/BC, find AB to the nearest tenth:
ED = 9(1 part of BA)
BA(AB)= x
EC=16(1 part of BC)
BC = 30

Please tell if there is not enough info to help, because I feel the need to scan a picture of the problem up.

given ED=9, EC=16 and BC=30
u also have ED/BA = EC/BC

this implies that 9/BA=16/30 -> 9*30=16*BA -> BA=9*30/16
