Can someone please help me???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the probability that a randomly chosen point in the figure lies in the shaded region??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The shape is a regular pentagon, so all of the 5 little triangles are equal in portion. The probability is 1/5 or 20%.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you.. can you help me with a few more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oops..... you said the shaded region. The black shaded region is 80% and the white 20%. Sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is for the first post.

Next post. There 6 equal rectangles that can fit in the 12 * 8 large shape, so 2/6 or 33.3% is the white region and 4/6 or 66.66 for the lack region.
