I really like the Stack Overflow interface and features ... take a look at it's tags view and the ability to navigate from tags to posts and tags to top users, etc ... http://stackoverflow.com/tags - Are you introducing tags for posts?
Hey Saurav - thanks for the feedback. I think we need to choose really carefully between user generated tags and a curated list of subtopics. i.e. we've done a really good job grouping as many people as we can together, so we don't want to split it up too much too soon. Maybe hashtags + the ability to currently add them to a group's filter (and easily replace/remove the things in your filter easily). How do you weigh in?
My suggestion is to have a study group for "mixed topics" which includes any areas there is not enough users , to mark the questions with tags about topic, show all questions in the same study group, then users may choose not to read questions which do not interest them, but they will still be in the same study group as lots of others. By this method, I think you can manage to have many people in one study group
