5x^2-5x-60=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u can factorise it in term of (x+a)(x+b)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-b +/- sqrt(b^2 - 4*a*c))/(2a)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

X=-13sqrt (-13^2-4(4)(12)/2(4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

X=-13sqrt+ (-13^2-4(4)(12)/2(4)

Why did you post the same question 3 times?

sorry mistake

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[5x^2 -5x-60=0 \rightarrow 5(x^2 -x -12) = 0 = 5(x+a)(x+b)\] So what two numbers a and b add together to give -1 and multiply together to give -12

i got it thanks for that formula and help got to go
