What is the value of 3h^2 when h= -2
, i'm not a maths genius as you can see.

You can expand the expression if the exponent is distracting.\[3h ^{2}=3(h)(h)\]Then for each h, plug in -2. So it turns into this:\[3(-2)(-2)\]The negatives end up cancelling each other out, so it becomes
3 x 4= 12
