Can someone teach me how to sample the exponential signal x(t)=4*exp(-2*t) at a frequency of 10 Hz?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is this for digital signal processing or something?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

Sorry to disappoint...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't worries my friend.

Check with some of the semiconductor device catalogs. This signal appears to be 1 unit at t=0, you do not specify volts, millivolts etc. Then the signal rapidly decays toward 0, You would need to specify the minimum you expect to track. You are sampling 10 times a second so it wouldn't last very long assuming t is in seconds.

Thanks, I did take samples of the function every 1/f second using a computer program I made. I was confusing the terms signal_frequency and sampling_frequency (two different things). Thanks dude.
