we need to determine what "angle" has a tan that is equal to .93978. we use what is called an inverse function to get the answer.
ok so you have to use inversetan function. in this case you will get x = inversetan(0.93978)
on a calculator, which is what you need for this problem; there is a tan^-1 option hiding on it somewhere :)
got it! thanks!
that inverse function will only give you answers between -90 degress and 90 degrees
