what is the formula that you use bxh for?
The Area of a triangle if i got the context right.
the area of a triangle is bxh/2
area of a triangle is (1/2)bh.
b x h is a rectangle area?
i thought that lxw was rectangle area
oh right lolol, well a quadrilateral then.
whats a quadrilateral
i honestly have no idea
parellelogram!
are you positive or are you guessing because i need to know this for sure
yes... it can be both..
both?? both of what parallelogram and a rectangle
A parallelogram is 2 triangles.
its a parallelogram
So can a rectangle.
ok but can you bxh for a rectangle
And you already know the area of a triangle. Just multiply by 2.
or just a parallelogram
its bxh for a parallelogram because its made up of 2 right triangles and a rectangle so when you multiply by b x h the half triangles are filled to be one... so its basically a big rectangle
umm so can you use both lxw and bxh to calculate the area of a rectangle
so is this true, can u
L x W is for a rectangle and B x H is for a parallelogram which has slanted sides unlike a rectangle.. so there is a difference..
Draw a parallelogram and draw a line from one corner to the other to convince yourself that it is actually two triangles. Same with a rectangle.
ok now i get it
