solve for x 2x-4 / 2 - x+6 / 3 = 12

OpenStudy (ny,ny):

x= 12 i fail at explaining sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, u can find a common denominator of 6 on the left side, 3(2x-4)-2(x+6)/6, u can simplify the numerator by multiplying, then cross multiply with 12....4x-16/6 times 12/1....12*6=72, 72= 4x-16, add 16 to 72, then divide by 4....hope it makes sense lol :/
