I'm not sure the formula but you can conclude that to find the surface area of the triangle you do (9 x 12 x .5)= area of one triangle.. since you have 4 triangles you multiply that by 4 to get 216. Now you need to add the surface area of the sides.. You have 2 sides that are 30 x 15 so you multiply (30 x 15 x 2) and you have one side that is 24 x 30 so you do (30 x 24). So to get your total surface area: (9 x 12 x .5 x 4) + (30 x 15 x 2) + (30 x 24) = total surface area.
