OK, so the first fraction is 12/20 which reduces down to 3/5. NOW. Here is the difference in this problem. YOU DON"T replace it so it is like laying one of those cards (greater than 8) down on the table. Now when you go to draw the next card... How many cards are less than 5? and How many cards are in the deck?

Remember there were only 20 cards, but you are right there is one less so that is 19 cards. So the answer is 3/5 * 4/19 = 12/95 Do you understand this?
