2/3x+4/3x=-2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright, let's simplify it in a better form ^_^:\[2/3x(2x+4) = -2/3\] cross mulitply now: \[-6x(3x + 4)= 6\] \[-6x(3x+4) - 6 = 0\]\] \[-6(3x^2 + 4x +1 ) = 0\] \[-6(3x + 1)(x + 1) = 0\] so your zeros are : x = -1/3 and x= -1 ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it clear now? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no lol, you want to find x right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes sorry about its early

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np ^_^ so you'll have 2 sets of x equations which are: 3x + 1 =0 and x+ 1 =0 x = -1/3 and x = -1 therefore your x's are : x = -1/3 and x = -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok got it ... thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you'r welcome :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're* ^^"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can't I have one day with no typos =-=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sstarica, you are such a good person that I cant even believe it, I mean, you spend your precious time helping others

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you andy, I appreciate such kind words :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sstarica do have time for one more problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure np ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.06(z-300)+0.05z=0.07z-205

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, let's multiply using the distributive law :\[0.06z - 18+0.05z -0.07z + 205 = 0\] Solve for z and you'll get: \[0.04z = -187\] \[z = -187/0.04 = -4675\] so z = -4675 ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did u get the 187

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you subtract 205 from 18: 205 - 18 = 187 move it to the other side to get z alone and it'll be -187 ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

great :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you , you are really good at this ..thanks again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's my pleasure dear ^_^ good luck
