How?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i need help with a few geometry questions
OpenStudy (anonymous):
the first one is calculate the number of vertices of the solid, given that it has 7 faces, 2 pentagons and 5 triangles
OpenStudy (anonymous):
10... count the "points"
OpenStudy (anonymous):
However I don't see any triangles I see 5 rectangles

the second one is: Determine whether each solid is a polyhedron.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
well for the first one it says to uses this formula f+v=e+2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Figure out what f v and e are. I think f is faces and v is verticies
OpenStudy (anonymous):
f is number of faces, v is vertices, e is edges
OpenStudy (anonymous):
That would be faces + vertices = edges + 2
faces = 7, (those are flat surfaces)
edges = 15 (those are like the edge of a table)
7 + v = 15 + 2
7 + 10 = 15 + 2
Vertices = 10

The second question is yes for both.. Definition is a solid with flat faces
OpenStudy (anonymous):
decide whether the polyhedron is regular and/or convex
