What courses are you planning to take after this one? I'm considering taking Practical Programming in C (6.087) and Mathematics for CS (6.042J). I want to jump into Intro to Algorithms, but I don't feel I have a strong enough math background yet.

This course is just a beginners course so why would you move to C when you haven't mastered python.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand that it's a beginner's course, however from the little research I've done it looks like C/C++ is more prevalent of a programming language. I just want to invest time in something that is more applicable to what I wan to do. From what I've seen so far though, I think that Python is a cleaner language.

O ok thats true C is one of the main programming languages . I think I'm going to master python because python has a mixture of a lot of different languages in it so if you master it, it won't be as hard to learn any other language.

I like Python - that's the best thing about this course = it introduced me to Python - it's easy to read the code
