Find the absolute maximum and minimum values of f(x) = 2x-e^x on [0,1]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well calc1, you just need to find the derivative. find all x's where the derivative is 0.. these x's are called critical points. take only the one's that are in your interval.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then evaluate your function f(x) at these points and at the borders x=0, and x=1

the maximum value among them is your maximum, and the minimum is your minimum!!
