verify the identity. sinx(cotx+tanx)=secx i got as afar as (sinxcosx/sinx )+(sinxcosx/cosx)= 1/cosx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sinx will cancel in your first term. So you have cosx+ sinx^2/cosx=1/cosx. Combine the fraction on the left side, and you get (osx^2+sinx^2)/cosx=1/cosx. cosx^2+sinx^2=1 by another identity, so you are done.
