OpenStudy (yrivers36):

Do the following for the given f(x): graph y=f(x) identify the vertex and axis of symmetry evaluate f(-2) and f(3). f(x)=x^2+x-2 if someone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what you need help on?

OpenStudy (yrivers36):

im not sure how to identify the vertex. is that when you use -b/2a

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yes, the vertex x value for the vertex will be -b/2a (-1/2,y)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the x value there is also your axis of symmetry of o recall correctly

OpenStudy (amistre64):

to find the y values, you need to fill in the x value in the equation :)

OpenStudy (yrivers36):

the y int would be -2?
