I need help.! How do you solve y=-x^2 It's graphing quadratic functions

to graph y=-x^2 choose values of x, for example x = 1 etc.. and plug into the equation. the x along with the resulting y give you a point that you may plot on an x,y grid. make sure to choose a good amout of points (at least 5) so you can get a good picture. I reccomend x = -2, -1, 0, 1, 2. after you have plotted enough points you just connect the dots and you now have a graph for your funtion.
