If it says solve for x then you will have
2x + 2y = 22
2x = 22 - 2y
x = 11 - y

3c + d = 20
2c + 2d = 22

-6c - 2d = -40 Multiplied by -2
2c + 2d = 22

-4c = -18 added them up.
c = 4.5

Substitute back in.
3c + d = 20
3(4.5) + d = 20
13.5 + d = 20
d = 6.5

CD's = $4.50
DVD's = $6.50
