find two decimals satisfying the criteria given in each part. a. one of the decimals is greater that 1 and the product of the two decimals is 0.423. b. both decimals are greater than 0 and less than 1. their quotient is 7.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

Ld > 1, Ld(Sd) = .423 Ld = .423/Sd .423/Sd >1 .423 > Sd Sd < .423 <1< Ld Whatever fits this criteria

i don't get it...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

larger decimal has to be greater than 1, and smaller decimal needs to be less than .423; and those decimals should multiply to = .423 in order to satisfy the requirements for 'a'. choose a decimal smaller than .423 and find its mate to satisfy the conditions

OpenStudy (amistre64):

oh...and 0 < Sd otherwise you get a negative number :)

ah ha! thank you!
