What is the coefficent of m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there even a coefficent?? I am also not sure of that so that is pretty much part of my question. I am not sure because this is just a single variable nothing else

myininaya (myininaya):

1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

coefficient is the number of times you multiply a variable in an equation. so for example, in 2x+3y=18, you multiply x by 2 and add it to 3 times y to get 18. so if you have m+1 = 18, you multiply m by 1 and add 1 to it to get 18. therefore, coefficient of m is 1.

myininaya (myininaya):

the number in front of m is the coeifficent
