find the slope of a line that passes through the points (-1,0) and (-5,-7)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where (x1,y1) = (-1,0) and (x2,y2)=(-5,-7)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That gives the slope of the line, not the line itself. You must then plug that slope (and one of the points) into the point slope formula.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh whoops, the question only asked for the slope, nvm.
