I noticed OpenStudy works faster and with fewer freezes on Fire Fox 4

I have been comparing how OpenStudy works on Fire For pre-4 (like 3.62) and Fire Fox 4, and noticed much better experience with the new version. Also, so far I have not experienced even one "freeze" using the version 4. So, if anyone is experiencing problems on OpenStudy, try Fire Fox 4. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-4.0&os=win&lang=en-US

Hi Oktal - thanks for posting this. There is definitely a better experience on ff4.

Yeah, unsurprising -- they made huge improvements in the JS engine (it is now finally competitive with the ones in Safari and Chrome). We still need to find out which particular paths in our code are slowing Firefox down so much, though. There isn't anything that stands out in that regard.

Glad to know my screen is not the only one freezing up.

Yeah, we're still trying to figure out what exactly is causing that. We see it *relatively* infrequently on our browsers (usually Safari 5 and Chrome), but we know people are experiencing issues even on those. We've fixed a few performance issues, but it sounds like these problems are still happening. We'll keep cracking on it!
