If eg is the median, that means 5x-17=3x+1
2x=18
x=9

new problem! find x & RT if SU is a median of RST
OpenStudy (anonymous):
you should be able to find x on your own right now
OpenStudy (anonymous):
RT=TU+UR=(2x+24)+(5x-30)
So then you just plug whatever x is into the equation
OpenStudy (anonymous):
okay.. but then okay it confuses me greatly when i have to find x,y,& z.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
why? combine similar terms and isolate variables, and solve for it
