Is this Course a good start for me if I wanted to enroll in game development industry?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I haven't completely looked into this so don't take my words as fact just a matter of opinion. I think taking this course would help because it would give you a solid foundation on programming itself. Programming is important in game development so It would be good to have a good foundation. Python itself is not a main language in game development however it can still be used. I believe right now C++ is the main game design programming language. So in my opinion I think it would be better to take this course and learn Python rather than jumping to a complex language like C++( if you have no prior programming background). But if you have a good foundation in programming already I would say try learning C++ if it is too hard then back off and work your way up by learning Python and other languages. Also if you don't already know other languages you don't want to jump to C++ because when programming games its not like that is the only languages you need to know. You may build the bulk of the code in one language(C++) but another part of the code may be easier to build in another language such as python or java. Also the more languages you learn the easier it will be to pick up on a new language.
