I know but I am not good with multiple choice questions and I just want to know if I have dont it the correct way. Its no point using a calculator if I am doing the question wrong
Any specific questions you are curious about?
You have not worked out the problems in the pdf you provided, you have just highlighted your answers, so there is no way for us to determine if your method was correct.
It was mulitple choice so I didnt have to show work but I get what you mean. Well can you just cross check questions 2, 8, 18, 23 and 25. I know they seem easy but I have been out of practice in some time now
25 is wrong, broski.
23 is fine. The others bore me, but 2 seems OK
:( can you help me with 25?
2 is correct. 8 is correct 18 is correct 23 is correct. 25 should have been 1142
Either: work out the speed of each (speed = distance over time), call one time (t) and one time (t - 42/60) = (t-10/7) and work out the distance of each at time t and set them equal. Or, work out how far the first one goes in 42 minutes (140miles), and use the RELATIVE VELOCITY (speed of 2 - speed of 1 = 320-200 = 120mph), and work out how long it takes to 'catch up' that distance i.e 140/120. Add it to 42 minutes.
oops it should have been 1152, not 1142.
y is 25 "c" :1142? this was my calculation to get the time. 320t-200t = 140 then 120t =140 t=140/120 t=1 hour 16 mins
Oh yeah, I get I think I add the times wrong .. thanks
I get it*
14/120 = 7/6 = 1 hour 10 minutes. Time is 1 hour 10 minutes + 42 minutes (it's not 1142)
meant 9.6 mins
Thanks
