My neighbors cylindrical pool measures 24 ft in diameter and the water level is 4 ft high. What is the volume od the pool in cubic feet?Is the answer 1809.6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

volume of a cylinder is given by \[V=\pi r^2h\] where r is the radius of the cylinder and h is the heigth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so here since the diameter of the cylinder is 24 ft, the radius is 12 ft

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so \[V=\pi (12)^2(4) ft^3\]

Thanks! Thats how I set it up too
