sequence 1/n is convergent but series1/n is divergent why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because the sequence doesn't converge fast enough.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/n^2 is convergent but 1/n is not so think of how much bigger n^2 is compared to n when n approaches infinity, as a result, 1/n doesn't get small enough fast enough to ever converge
