how can i put 18/60 in a smaller way??

think about a common factor that goes into both 18 and 60. This should be fairly easy since they are even numbers. If it is not always easy to tell, then factor each number individually until you find a number they have in common. Factors of 18 are 2, 3, 6, 9 Factors of 60 are 2, 3, 6, etc.. Both numbers can be divided by six. 18/6 = 3 60/6 = 10. So you have your answer 3/10.
