how is this for a thesis statement on budget cuts? "Harsh government budget cuts on school education are unfair to students and facility."

Hi RedCarr.... do you have data to back up your statement (and I think you mean to say "students and faculty"?  Your statement is factual when you use the words "are unfair".  If you have data than the statement is probably fine.  If you don't than you may want to say "seem unfair".  My understanding is that based on statistics, there are less students in the system today than there were 10 years ago.  Even if you take cost of living into consideration, our budgets for education have increased exponentially year over year- even though the student population is down.  Food for thought.  Make sure you can back it up.  Do your homework.
