what is the connection between the slope of the displacement versus time graph and the value of the instantaneous velocity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes delta(displacement)/delta(time)= velocity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

displacement -time graph shows us the variation of the motion of the body with time. the slope of the graph gives the value of velocity. as truly replied delta(displacement) /delta (time ) is velocity. if we put the limit that delta (time) approaches to zero then it gives the instantaneous velocity. without limit it will give the average velocity.

Slope can be found on wikipedia...

wikipedia.... nice place to search. please tell if my answer is wrong. because i think that it is correct.
