4x+40 =640
i keep getting 520
suppose the price of the chair was P, then the price of the desk was 4 times P + $40, correct, so the price of the desk is 4P+40. Both the desk and chair were sold for 640 so P+4P+40 = 640 or 5P =600, P = 120.
gee im way far in my answer 520.Thank you so much that help me how u do it
You are welcome, I explained how I did it, is there any confusion?
