OpenStudy (m):

f(x) = (2/81)x for 0 < x < 9; f(x) = 0 for other given: M = 6; stand dev. of x = 2.1213 what is E[ |x-M | ] = ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

kinda hard to tell whats being asked...sorry :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i believe I see an equation for the slope of a line y = (2/81)x for all x in the interval (0,9) what M=6 means is beyond me; and standard deviation?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

E[|x-M|] sounds like an error adjustment or calculation

OpenStudy (m):

no this is probability and statistics question

OpenStudy (m):

M is the mean

OpenStudy (amistre64):

ahhh....taking that over the summer college :) you got 4 months to wait ;)

OpenStudy (m):
