OpenStudy (amistre64):

(1/3)(142^2)(9)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

amistre64 so do I multiply I still dont understand

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yep, just multiply it all together. it might be less error if you do this tho: (3)(142)(142) will give you your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, that question with brackets is supposed to read as a multiplication sign between each bracket

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 3x142x142?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i multiplied and got 60492 what do I do with the 9m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you already handled it when you multiply (1/3) by 9.... so in words, its a third of one multiplied by nine is three... i thought that was pretty cool to get a whole number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok that makes sense thanks I'll be back tomorrow
