Trying to prove if \(a\) is a primitive root mod \(p^n\), then \(a\) is a primitive root mod \(p\).

What do you mean by 'primative root'?

It generates the units of Z mod p, it's powers run through the conjugacy classes of Z mod p, or the least power that brings it back to 1 is p-1
