y^2 -2x -2y-9=0 this a parabola? how do i put it in standard form to graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since your quadratic is in y, I would put it in terms x=(-y^2/2)+y+(9/2), this is arrived at by solving for x, so your parabola is a sideways "u".
