In the quadratic formula n2^2-10(2^2)=-11, the answer is (6,-17), but how do you get that answer?

Can't understand what you are asking. Write the question as it was asked in book or whatever original form.

nega

that is how it is in the book, it gives that equation and tells you to solve it.

Still can't understand. There is a quadratic formula and it is used to solve equations of the form ax^2 + bx + c = 0. What are you solving? Are you solving for n? It might also help to say what subject (algebra?), class or topic.
