2log x- log7=log112

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you remember your rules for adding and subtracting logs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2logx-log7 is the same as log((x^2)/7)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'l give you a hint to get you started. First you add log(7) to both sides. This should yield 2log(x) = log(112) + log (7). The formula for adding logs is log(x) + log(y) = log(x*y) as long as if you have same base. This is not all there is the 2 the questions, but it's a good way to start.

this is the solution\[10^{\log(784)}=x^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which leaves you with\[\sqrt{784}=x=28\]
