Find the area of your flower bed (Area=pi times radius squared). Then find the area of the sidewalk and flower bed combined by adding two time the width of your sidewalk to the diameter of your flower bed (the sidewalk is on both sides, otherwise yu would just add one width), using your diameter to find the radius and then use the above formula to solve for your area. Finally, find the area of your sidewalk by taking the area of flowerbed+sidewalk and subtracing the area of the flowerbed.

Find the total area of the flower bed (pi x radius squared). Then find the area of the flower bed and sidewalk together, pi x ((radius of flower bed + width of sidewalk= total radius)squared). Finally subtract the area of the of the flowerbed from the overall area and you're left with the area of the sidewalk in m^2
