Here's another: Drew has a woodshed that is 3 meters x 2meters x2 meters. If each 1.5 cubic meters of firewood sells for $54,how much will it cost to fill the shed with wood?

OpenStudy (radar):

Drew's wood shed has a volume of 3 x 2 x 2 =12 cu. meters. How many 1.5 cu. meter bundles can go into 12 cu. meter shed? Sounds like a division problem.

OpenStudy (radar):

12/1.5 = 8 Now for the real world. Wood is not sold by the cubic meter, but by the cord. Also Drew couldn't actually put in 8 bundles because of irregularity in the shapes of the wood. And most of all you ain't gonna learn if you don't do these problems yourself!

If others work your homework, at least review them for understanding and if you don't understand the steps they took as questions!

So the answer I got is $432.00,is that right?

OpenStudy (radar):

I got the same. Good luck with your studies.
