absolute value bars around first to numbers 2x+3 = 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so because the numbrs are all positive you can ignore the absolute number bars 2x+3=5 subtract 3 from both sides 2x=2 divide by 2 on both sides x=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry its 2x -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so in this case the absolute value bars do count x=4,-1
