Calculate the speed of light in miles per hour, given is it 3 X 10^8 m s^-1. (That's 10 to the 8th power and s to the -1 power). Thanks!

The conversion factor is: 1 meter per second = 2.23693629 miles per hour. So multiply both sides by 3*(10^8) to get 3*(10^8) * 2.23693629.
