you have 2 frames and 11 puzzle pieces. Your task is to fit the pieces into the 2 frames to create 2 equal areas.

You are supposed to cut the triangles out and place them so that each side of the frame has one "a" and one "b" side. Then one of the large squares should fit into the hole that will be in the middle (think a^2 +b^2 = c^2)!!

I dont really know how to answer the first question. what relationship exists is any between the sides of the pieces?

The relationship has to do with the area of the larger square (the 4 triangles and the small square in the middle)... Think pythagorean theorem!
