OpenStudy (anonymous):

Given the equation y = 2(3^x) - 1, state the domain, range, x-intercept(s), y-intercept(s) and asymptote(s).

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the domain is all acceptable values of "x"; inthis case, all real numbers (-inf,inf)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the range is all possible outcomes from inputing the domain values: range: anything above -1 (-1,inf)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

that range might be off.....gotta recall what the graph looks like :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when x = 0; y=1....yint = 1

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the range is valid... (-1,inf) the xint is when y=0...y = 0 when 3^x = 1/2...so whatever that value is... :)
