The steam engine. Early cars were run on these types of engines. I don't know why oil became a primary fuel for cars

hmhmhmhmhm ,,,, now fuel is going to finish almost in few years ,,, so they are searching for a new source of energy so they tried on solar energy it work but not 100% success so they tried on water in upcoming 5 years they will launch it officially ,,,

None that I know of that uses water for FUEL. Many that use water as an intermediate (steam engines, ...). To use it as a FUEL, you would have to have some way to extract energy from untreated water.
