How do i follow the course online? Do i view two lecture videos a week and complete the required Problem sets?
To follow the course you do a lecture and then after most lectures you have a problem set that is due for the next lecture. There are also readings that correspond to the each lecture. To know when you should do the psets check the calender on the mit website, http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-00-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-fall-2008/calendar/. There is no 2 lectures per week min or anything you go at your own pace. If you wanna rush through and finish the course in a week its up to you or you can take your time.
Thank you very much for your swift reply :) I've been the route of going to university to study computer science, but alas, university life wasn't for me. So finding this website is a great lift, and should be a great kickstart for my future programming career :)
Yea no problem, I plan on going to a univ still and majoring in comp programming but all the good computer schools you need really good grades to get in :(
I'd be surprised at good schools who don't require good grades to get in. Obvious facts of life =p McGill for me
I know that haha by saying that I was just trying to imply I may not end up going to a computer science school.
Anyways, what IS a computer science school. Most schools have a computer science program, so that's enough.
by that I just meant like a school that is known for or majors in the study of computers. I know at most schools you can choose to major in computer science but I wanna go to a school that is known for there computer science program.
