What is the median-fit method?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

statistics? the median is the number in the middle of the row if you line up all the numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says I need to use it to make an equation to model the data on a bar graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats not right, the median is the number in the middle after you line up all numbers from least to greatest.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sry you are right :P from least to greatest...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but something else wouldn't make sense i guess he knew what i meant xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or from greatest to least whatever floats your boat, if the total number is even then take the 2 middle number add them up and divide by 2

read u on the actual method here http://www.personal.psu.edu/jxt18/Math21_WEB/MedianFit/MedianFit.htm
